Most emotional track on the album. I'd like to stay in paradise, but I can't chain my spirit, if it wants to go....
lyrics
I awoke one morning feeling sadness deep and loss. I knew it meant I'd have to change every thing I'd got. It laid on me so heavy down. I knew I'd have just one chance to break away.
I had to make myself anew and that meant that I had to go I had to leave my everything and go back to the winter snow.
It came upon me suddenly though slowly it crept in. There were so many reasons why, staying was a sin. I felt like coal a smoldering, about to go so cold the fire's just gone out.
And I found myself in darkness to let spring come again.
Sometimes the best laid planing, it can go awry. And before you know what's happening you're looking to the skies. I'd like to stay in paradise, but I can't chain my spirit if it wants to go.
